Portia Waller (Copy)

Portia has a background in politics, international relations and languages. She is skilled at combining rigorous analysis with creative problem solving to generate insights that drive value. Portia has previously worked as a Research Consultant for a private company, where she aided in optimising information on the company's internal systems to increase productivity.  

Influential work: 

During her time at dandolo she has helped to: 

  • Develop a strategy and action plan to improve school attendance in Western Australia’s most remote and highly disadvantaged communities. 

  • Analyse and develop advice on Victoria’s startup ecosystem. 

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of a human rights, diversity and inclusion program across schools. 

  • Review the relevance, purpose and governance of a major partnership of councils. 

  • Develop a capability framework for early childhood teachers to identify opportunities to support graduates transitioning into the workforce. 

Portia graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne’s Bachelor of Arts, with a double major in Politics / International Relations and French Studies. During university Portia was head of her campus Women’s Society and held the role of youth mental health mentor. She was on the Melbourne University Dean’s Honours List in 2019.
