Graduate program

Graduates join dandolo in the role of Consulting Analyst. As a Consulting Analyst at dandolo, you’ll hit the ground running and be exposed to our projects, clients, and teams from your first day on the job. You’ll have support and scaffolding around you to set you up for success.

What we offer and how we’ll support you

In your first few weeks, you’ll complete an intensive induction and ‘consulting bootcamp’ training program, which will teach the key skills you’ll need to know on the job.

We care about your professional growth and development and will provide you with ongoing training and support throughout your time as a consulting analyst.

This includes:

  • Being assigned a ‘coach’, who will have regular discussions with you about your learning and development needs and wellbeing.
  • Being assigned a ‘buddy’ at a similar level to you in the organisation to show you the ropes.
  • Participating in regular in-house training sessions attended by staff across the firm to support you to develop and build on the skills that you’re learning on the job.
  • Having regular performance development check ins to discuss your growth and professional development goals and receive regular feedback on how you are going at work.

We also offer our staff:

  • The opportunity to be part of an inclusive and supportive team that shares a motivation for solving complex problems and making impact that matters.
  • The ability to work exclusively on challenging public policy issues.
  • More independence and influence on clients and projects than in many other consulting environments.
  • Work at an organisation that is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in all its forms.
  • Hybrid working arrangements and the opportunity to work hours to fit around your schedule and needs, where it works with other work commitments.
  • A collaborative, close-knit and supportive culture, and office environment, which includes a daily ‘coffee run’ paid for by dandolo and regular social activities chosen by the team and funded by the firm ‘Fun Bank’ fund.

We're looking for graduates, or consulting analysts, to join our Melbourne-based team in July 2026 or January 2027.

  • Be comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative analysis - or enthusiastic to learn.
  • Be intellectually curious, care about public policy problems and how to solve them.
  • A positive attitude, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a relevant academic qualification (to be completed by the time you would be commencing in the role).

Please note:

  • You don’t need to be an Australian resident at the time of making this application, but you must have full-time unrestricted working rights in Australia to apply for this role. We are not able to offer sponsorships for consultants at the graduate level.

Please note that applications for our 2025 graduate program are currently closed. We will be opening applications in March 2026, please follow our LinkedIn for updates.

For your application you will need to provide your contact details and answer some questions. These include questions about your academic and other background and issues you care about.

For this role, we are committed to de-identifying applicants to help us ensure that we're reducing the impact of bias on our selection processes. To achieve this, we review your answers to our question, and decide who to progress through our process as a result. We do not refer to any personal details in this assessment.

We are deeply committed to Reconciliation, diversity and inclusion and work hard to maintain an inclusive team environment. We encourage First Nations Australians and those from diverse backgrounds to apply for this role. Please get in touch with us if you need an adjustment to the recruitment process and we’ll do our best to find a solution.

Please note that we will have two graduate intakes: in July 2026 and January 2027. Please identify your preference for a start date in your application.

There are three stages to our recruitment process for graduates:

  • Online written application
  • A one way video interview, which is designed to get to know you better and assess your conceptual and critical thinking skills
  • The next stage of the recruitment process is to participate in two verbal case study interviews with dandolo staff, where we will ask you to respond to a scenario a client might bring to dandolo and outline how you would logically approach the problem and think through the scenario.

We will provide you with further information about each of the stages for our recruitment process and how to prepare should you successfully make it to the next stage. Offers are made pending reference checks.
