Best Practice Maths Teaching Models

An Australian Government department engaged dandolo to conduct research into best practice models for the online/digital teaching of mathematic and numeracy, and to consider how these learnings can be applied in future. dandolo developed an evidence-based framework for assessing models and mapping the current environment, conducted an academic literature review while simultaneously conducting fieldwork to complete a model mapping exercise to compare current models against best practice. This involved both desktop analysis and undertaking approximately 20 system-level stakeholder interviews. dandolo assessed best practice models against an assessment framework and completed comparator analysis. The report presented findings and recommendations to the department regarding best practice and next steps, which will help strength the delivery of online education.
