Commercialising antimicrobial resistance (AMR) solutions

dandolo was commissioned by CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, to explore the needs of organisations who are  involved in the development of AMR solutions, and the barriers and challenges they face in doing so. dandolo developed a framework to identify different types of AMR solutions and mapped the commercialisation pathway before consulting with innovation ecosystem organisations. This included venture capital firms, incubators and accelerators, researchers, and organisations with a vested interest in AMR solution development. We then developed and moderated an online discussion forum with AMR organisations to further unpack commercialisation challenges and how they can be addressed. We captured and synthesised major insights to identify needs and provide recommended actions to improve the impact journey for AMR solutions and provided key findings and recommendations to inform how the Australian ecosystem could better support and enable the commercialisation of AMR solutions.
