Improving Practical and Post Graduate Programs

dandolo was commissioned by an Australian Government department to undertake research on high-quality practicums and pathways to attract mid-career professionals into teaching. The research was commissioned to inform the work of the Teacher Education Expert Panel (TEEP), which was established by the Australian Government to explore key issues relating to the reform of initial teacher education in Australia. dandolo undertook detailed research on existing literature on high-quality practicums and pathways for mid-career professionals, engaged with education sector stakeholders on potential reforms through interviews and focus groups and conducted a major survey of current and recent ITE students to capture their perspectives. dandolo's research informed the TEEP's recommendations on ITE reforms.
